Ya’at’eeh Bini’anit’ą́ą́tsoh, 2020

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well during these extraordinary times, and I do hope you all are social distancing and sanitizing too! I know its been sometime but I have been updating my site here and there. You can also follow me on twitter or instagram and see some happenings in my life.

In some major news, I have relocated to the great city of Albuquerque, NM (ABQ) after living in Tucson, AZ for 5 years. It was a wonderful experience being there, and certainly, the University of Arizona Department of Linguistics had provided great support in that I was doing. I have been awarded my 2nd MA degree in Linguistics focus on Native American Languages and Linguistics. With that, I had to write a thesis, which was approved last month and I will post my thesis work whenever it becomes available for public consumption. It is 2 years of writing, research, starting, and restarting, yet its complete and I cannot wait to share it.

In other news, I have relocated to ABQ to start my first year as a PhD student, back in December 2019, I applied for the PhD in Linguistics program at UNM and hoped to work directly with the Navajo Language Program, which in turn, I will work with other Diné speakers, educators, and learners. Being in ABQ puts me a lot closer to the Eastern Agency, which some of you do know, is home to me.

I will continue to do some design work but my main focus now is on language and Diné Bizaad. I look forward to this opportunity and hope you are will continue to join me on this adventure!

Ahéhee’!
